Oliver Chapin, the son of Daniel and Abigail (Corbett) Oliver. He was born on 1 October 1759 in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts and he was christened on 4 November 1759 in Milford, Worcester County, Massachusetts. In 1775, Oliver enlisted in the Revolutionary Army, and served until December 1779. He was a country merchant in Orange. He served in 1799 in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, as the Representative to the Massachusetts General Court. He served in that position again in 1804. He and Mary Jones moved in 1806 to Brattleboro, Windham County, Vermont. He was appointed in 1807 in Brattleboro, Windham County, Vermont, as the Second Assistant Judge of the County Court, Windham County, Vermont. He served in 1809 as the First Assistant Judge of the County Court, Windham County, Vermont. He died on Wednesday 26 June 1811 in Brattleboro, Windham County, Vermont.
