    Joseph Cheney, the son of William and Margaret (Cule) Cheney. He was born on 6 June 1647 in Roxbury, Massachusetts. On 30 April 1667 in Roxbury, Massachusetts, Joseph Cheney was mentioned in the will of William Cheney. On 15 May 1686 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, Joseph Cheney was mentioned in the will of Margaret (Cule) Cheney. After Hannah's death, on 21 July 1691 Joseph, at age 44, married (2) Mehitabel Plimpton, daughter of John Jane (Damon) Plimpton, in Medfield, Massachusetts. He and Mehitabel Plimpton were "received into full communion" on 26 September 1697 in Medfield, Massachusetts. He left a will on 15 September 1704 in Medfield, Massachusetts. He died on Tuesday 16 September 1704 in Medfield, Massachusetts. Joseph's estate was inventoried on 2 January 1704/5 in Medfield, Massachusetts and valued at £239 11/6.
