     Joseph Lucas Myers was born on 18 November 1866 at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was a twin.1,2,3 He was the son of Lucas Myers and Mary Huffman. Joseph Lucas Myersappeared on the US Census of 1870 in the household of Luke Myers and Mary Huffman at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.4 Joseph Lucas Myersappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of Luke Myers and Mary Huffman at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.5 According to the Federal Census in 1880, Joseph was a farm laborer.5 He and Anna Isabelle Geiger obtained a marriage license on 3 June 1901 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.3

Joseph Lucas Myers, age 34, married Anna Isabelle Geiger, age 23 , daughter of William Francis Geiger and Barbara A. Thomas, on 4 June 1901 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.6,3 Joseph, age 43 years, and Anna, age 31 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 on 335 Spring Street, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.7 According to the Federal Census in 1910, Joseph was a brick layer.7 Joseph, age 53 years, and Anna, age 41 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 on 333 Spring Street, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.8 According to the Federal Census in 1920, Joseph was a brick layer.8 Joseph, age 63 years, and Anna, age 51 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 335 Spring Street, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.9 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Joseph was a brick layer.9 He died on 17 November 1938 at home on 335 Spring Street, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at age 71 of acute heart failure.1,10 Joseph's obituary of 17 November 1938, reads:

Joseph L. Mysrs

Joseph L. Myers, a life long resident of this vicinity, died at bis home, 335 Spring St., this morning at 7:30 o'clock, following a three weeks Ill ness with a heart condition. He. was born in Unity Twp., a son of Lucas and Mary Huffman Myers and had he lived until the 28th of this month would have been 73 years of age.

Mr. Myers was a' stone mason and was in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company for a time and later -worked for John Herrmann as a stone mason and bricklayer. His health has not been good of late years.

He was a member of the Latrobe Council No. 940 Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society of the Holy Family church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Myers and the: following children: Mrs. George Bercel, of Tarentum; Miss Madeline Myers, at home;' and Paul and Joseph Myers, of Lowellvllle. Ohio; James Myers, of Latrobe; Raymond Myers, of Cumberland. Md; William Myers of Latrobe; and Charles, at home.

A twin brother, Henry Myers, of Spring Street, and another brother, Charles, of Latrobe; and two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Morrison, of Clairton, and Miss Grace Myers, of Unity Twp. also survive. There are four grandchildren.

He was buried on 21 November 1938 at Saint Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1,10
