Charles, age 4, appeared on the US Census of 1880 living at Delaware Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, James Bruce and Rachel Anne Oakes.1 Charles A. Oakes died on 15 August 1880 at McEwensville, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, at age 4.2
