Phebe Whitney, age 19, married John Travis, age 22 , son of James Travis and Phebe Covert, on 4 January 1797 at Yorktown, Westchester County, New York.2,3 As of 4 January 1797,her married name was Travis. Phebe Whitney died on 10 February 1866 at Yorktown, Westchester County, New York, at age 88.2
