Daniel Travis was born on 17 June 1734 at Holliston, Province of Massachusetts Bay.2,1,3,4 He was the son of James Travis and Rebecca Squire.1 It appears by the records that both James and Daniel Travis, brothers, the only sons of James, the son of James, were captured by Indians at Fort William Henry on 9 August 1757. Daniel ran to the French.5 His estate was propagated knowing of his death with John Wesson the administrator on 10 December 1759.5,6
