     Germain Thériault was born on 5 June 1853 at Grande-Anse, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, British North America.1,2,3 He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Thériault and Sara Dugas.

Germain married first in 1877, Monique Thériault, the daughter of Joseph-François Thériault and Marie-Phoeébèe Boudreau . She was born 3 August 1855 in Caraquet, New Brunswick, and died 26 February 1894 in Caraquest, New Brunswick.
