Francis Gallagher

     Francis Gallagher was born in March 1845 at Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Michael Gallagher and Mary Degnan. Francis Gallagher went by the nick-name of Frank. Francis Gallagher married Anna Elizabeth Donovan, daughter of Malachy Donovan and Honora Murphy, in 1873.¹ Francis, age 29 years, and Anna, age 20 years, appeared on the US Census of 1875 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York.⁴ Frank, age 34 years, and Anna, age 25 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at 145 Oak Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York.⁵ According to the census in 1880, Frank was a clerk in a store.⁵ Frank, age 54 years, and Anna, age 45 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at 235 Oak Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York.¹ According to the census in 1900, Frank was a day laborer.¹ Francis, age 59 years, and Anna, age 50 years, appeared on the US Census of 1905 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York.⁶ Frank, age 64 years, and Anna, age 55 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at 235 Oak Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York.⁷ Frank Gallagher died on 8 April 1911 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York, at age 66.^8,9 He was buried at Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Johnson City, Broome County, New York.⁸
