     Francis Gallagher was born in March 1845 at Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Michael Gallagher and Mary Degnan. Francis Gallagher went by the nick-name of Frank. Heappeared on the US Census of 1850 in the household of Michael Gallagher and Mary Degnan at Choconut Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.2 Francis Gallagherappeared on the US Census of 1860 in the household of Michael Gallagher and Ann MacDermott at Choconut Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.3

Francis Gallagher married Anna Elizabeth Donovan, daughter of Malachy Donovan and Honora Murphy, in 1873.1 Francis, age 29 years, and Anna, age 20 years, appeared on the US Census of 1875 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York.4 Frank, age 34 years, and Anna, age 25 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at 145 Oak Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York.5 According to the census in 1880, Frank was a clerk in a store.5 Frank, age 54 years, and Anna, age 45 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at 235 Oak Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York.1 According to the census in 1900, Frank was a day laborer.1 Francis, age 59 years, and Anna, age 50 years, appeared on the US Census of 1905 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York.6 Frank, age 64 years, and Anna, age 55 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at 235 Oak Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York.7 Frank Gallagher died on 8 April 1911 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York, at age 66.8,9 He was buried at Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Johnson City, Broome County, New York.8
