Adelaide of Holland married Jean I d'Avêsnes , Seigneur d'Avesnes, age 28 , son of Sir Bouchard d'Avêsnes and Margaret , Countess of Hainault and Flanders, on 9 October 1246.1,2,3 She governed Holland and Sealand from 1256 to 1263.1 She was the Regent of Holland from 1258 to 1263.4 Adelaide of Holland died in 1284.1,2,4,5
