Theodore I Komnenos Lascaris , Emperor of the East was born in 1172.1 He was the son of Manuel Lascaris and Ionna. He received the title Despot in 1197.1
Theodore I Komnenos Lascaris , Emperor of the East married Anna Angelina, daughter of Alexios III Angelos ~ Emperor of the East and Euphrosyne Kamatera Doukaina, in 1199.1 Theodore was crowned he Emperor of the East (Basileus) in 1204.1 Theodore was deposed by the Crusaders of the Fourth Crusade in 1204 at Constantinople (now Istanbul), Empire of the East.1 Theodore was crowned the Basileus of Nicea in 1206.1 He died in August 1222.1
