Frank Joseph Meyer was born on 15 November 1927 at McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Frank Meyer and Mary Eritz. Frank, age 2, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 37 Wilson Street, Stowe Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Frank and Mary Meyer.7 Frank, age 12, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at 217 Copeland Street, McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Frank and Mary Meyer.8 On in 1945, Frank registered for the World War II draft, while living at 128 Jane Street, McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, giving his age as 18 and his employer as the Continental Can Company.5
He served from 14 February 1945 to 26 July 1947 in Company C, 7th Medical Battalion, US Army. He was discharged as a corporal.4,9
Anna Mae Scully and Frank Meyer received the consent of their parents for marriage.1
He and Anna Mae Scully obtained a marriage license on 21 August 1947 at Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1

Frank, age 22 years, and Anna Scully, age 22 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at 1324 Stern Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.11 According to the Federal Census in 1950, Frank was an emergency man for a railroad company.11 He died on 9 April 1991 at Sewickley Valley Hospital, Sewickley, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at age 63 from a Heart Attack.2,3,4,9,6 Frank's obituary of 11 April 1991, reads:
Frank J. Meyer Sr., a volunteer at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Oakland and active in veterans organizations, died of a heart attack Tuesday in Sewickley Valley Hospital.
Mr. Meyer, 63, of Coraopolis, was a member of Local 154 of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and a member of St. Joseph Church in Coraopolis.
Mr. Meyer served as a corporal in the Army during World War II and received the Army Occupation Medal-Japan. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 402 in Coraopolis, where he served as commander in 1973-74, and was a member of the Cooties division. Mr. Meyer was a member of American Legion Post 4 in Sewickley, Elks Lodge 1090 in Coraopolis, Moose Lodge 696 in Coraopolis and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was named State GI Joe by the Veterans Organization of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife, Anna Mae; seven sons, Thomas, Vince and Paul, all of Coraopolis, Frank Jr. of Ingram, Richard of Oakdale, William of Magnolia Springs, Ala., and Robert of North Carolina; three daughters, Mary Ann Debrowski and Denise Rucker, both of Coraopolis, and Rose Marie Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren; a half sister, Marie Bohonas of Kennedy; and two stepbrothers, Richard Piffer and Frank Piffer of Ingram.
Arrangements are by Copeland Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis.
