Louis Leo Sahr
     Louis Leo Sahr was born on 9 April 1894 at Rankin, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Albert M. Sahr and Margaret Elizabeth Merdian. Louis Leo Sahrappeared on the US Census of 1910 in the household of Albert M. Sahr and Margaret Elizabeth Merdian at Ralanning Pike, O'Hara Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.5 According to the Federal Census in 1910, Louis was a laborner in a pipe mill.5

Louis Leo Sahr, age 23, married Elizabeth Eleanor Pschirer, age 22 , daughter of Frank Frederick Pschirer and Mary Anna Boehm, on 16 May 1917.1 Louis registered for the draft giving his age as 23, his address as 657 Evergreen Avenue, Millvale, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and his occupation as a puddler at Lockharts Iron & Steel Company on 5 June 1917 at Millville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.3 Louis, age 25 years, and Elizabeth, age 24 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 at 1223 Thackers Street, McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.6 According to the Federal Census in 1920, Louis was a pudler.6 He was a member of Local Number 12, Sheet Metal Workers International Association of Pittsburgh and a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church. Louis, age 35 years, and Elizabeth, age 34 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 at 2620 Glasgow Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.7 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Louis was a pudler in an iron mill.7 Louis, age 45 years, and Elizabeth, age 44 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 at 2620 Glasgow Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.8 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Louis was a pudler in a steel mill.8 Louis registered for the draft giving his age as 48, his address as 2620 Glasgow Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and his employer as the Lockhart Iron & Steel Company. in 1942.4 In 1969, the year Louis died, he lived at Orangeville Road RD 2, West Salem Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. He died on 9 September 1969 at Greenville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, at age 75 at 12:30 AM.1,2 He was buried on 12 September 1969 at Saint Michael's Cemetery, Greenville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.1
