Regis V. Scully was born on 22 September 1905 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Paul Scully and Nancy Veronica Scobie. Regis V. Scully went by the nick-name of Rege.4 Regis, age 4, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at 1524 West Carson Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Paul and Anna Scully.5 Regis, age 12, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 2407 West Carson Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Paul and Anna Scully.6
Regis V. Scully, age 20, married Eleanor Murphy on 27 February 1926 at Wellsburg, Brooke County, West Virginia, They met when Eleanor was staying with her sister, Jo Cypher, in the neighborhood. The marriage was a secret, and they moved to Detroit right after their marriage..
In 1934, he was injured in an automobile accident. This developed into rheumatism in both legs.2 Regis V. Scully died on 3 October 1935 at Pittsburgh City Home & Hospitals, South Faette Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at age 30 from chronic myocarditis.1,2,3,7,4 Regis's obituary of 4 October 1935, reads:
