S.S. Nova Scotian
S.S. Nova Scotian
Built by William Denny & Brothers in Dumbarton, Scotland for the Allan Line, the Nova Scotian was originally built with three masts rigged for sail as well as a steam engine. She had a clipper stem, one funnel, a single screw, a registered tonnage of 2,108 tons, and berths for 131 first class passengers and 328 third class passengers.

In 1873, she was lengthened to 336'4" (which increased her tonnage to 3,305 tons) and had a new compound engine installed during a refit.

The Nova Scotian was scrapped in 1893.
