  2002 PETERSHAM - Harry C. Buell, 91, of 19 Oliver St., died Monday September 30, 2002 at the Athol Memorial Hospital. He was born i in Eastford, CT March 27, 1911, the son of Charles W. and Mabel (Clemens) Buell. He came to Petersham with his family in 1917, and lived and worked at the family farm, Hope Farm on Oliver St., all life. He graduated from Petersham High School in 1929 and Stockbridge School of Agriculture in 1931. He was a member of the -Athol Lodge. of Masons, 53- year member the Petersham Brass Band, and many other community organizations. He leaves his wife of 22 years, Shirley F. (Woodman) Roy Buell; three sons, David Buell North Sullivan, ME,' Lawrence and Charles Buell, both of Petersham; a step-son, Robert A. Roy of Herndon, VA; eight grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and one greatgrandson. His first wife, Ruth (Beals) Buell, died in 1976. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 19, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Orthodox Congregational Church, 21 North Main Street, Petersham. Calling hours will be Thursday October 3, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 Higgins-O'Connor . Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial be made to Petersham Lions Club Memorial Scholarship Fund or Community Service Fund, c/o Jeanine Legare, PO Box 457, Petersham, MA 01366.
