  Luva Wood March 11, 1998 Luva Wood, 81, of Parsonage Street, Pittston, Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, she was a patient for the past week Born Sept. 17, 1916, in Massachusetts, she was daughter of the late Dillon and Vera Burnette. She resided in Staten Island, N.Y., for most of her life and resided in Pittston for the past five years. Before she retired, she was employed as a nurse in various New York hospitals. She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her husband, Charles; daughters, Angel Wood, Pittston; Gina Gunther, Kunkletown; Charlotte Brewers, Staten Island, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Kizis-Lokuta Funeral Home, 134 Church St., Pittston. Published by The Times-Leader, 13 March 1998
