Former Resident Dies at Hanover;
Funeral Here.
BELLOWS FALLS- Edward Charles Burnett, 70, restaurant operator, of Newport, N. H., formerly of this town. died in Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Hanover, N. H., early Monday morning after an Illness of six months
Funeral services will be held at Fenton & Hennessey's Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Arnold Swanson' of Windsor will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in Oak Hill Cemetery.
He was born in Swanton May 1, 1880, son of Frank and Clista (Prentiss) Burnett. He entered the restaurant business at the age of 18and made it his career, For several years previous to 1910 he operated a restaurant on the stairs on Westminster Street. He moved from here to Lynn, Mass. and from there to Newport about two years ago.
His wife, the former Evelyn Parker, died 23 years ago. He leaves, one son, Gordon E. Burnett, and one brother, Henry Burnett, both of Newport.
