  Mrs. Rachel O. Smith NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. Mrs. Rachel O. Smith, 92, of 1605 Ruie Road, formerly of Watsontown and Mifflinburg, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Briody Nursing Home, Lockport, N.Y. A Northumbeland County native, she was born May 16, 1890, the daughter of the late James B. and Rachel Beard Oakes. She was married to Archie D. Smith, who survives. Mrs. Smith was a member of Payne Avenue ( Christian Church, North Tonawanda and the Christian Women's Fellowship. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Jean S. Dolan of Spring Hill, Fla., Mrs. Mary Louise Burton and Miss Ruth Anna Smith, both of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Grace C. Scott of Lockport, N.Y., and Mrs. Dorothy R. Capatosto of Plano, Texas; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the William F. Brooks Funeral Home, Turbotville, by the Rev. David B. Keller of St. John's United Church of Christ, McEwensville. Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery, McEwensville. The ring ceremony was used and was performed by the pastor, Rev. P. A. DeLong. Following the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Smith left on a honeymoon by automobile. Mr. Smith is engaged in business in Mifflinburg. His bride recently returned from Philadelphia, where she was in training for a nurse they will make their home in Mifflinburg.
