  Jacques LeBer dit Larose, the son of Robert LeBer and Colette Cavelier. He was born about 1633 in Notre-Dame, Pitries, Normandie, France. He immigrated in 1657 to Québec, Canada. After the marriage, they lived in a two story house on the Rue Saint-Paul in Montréal. They owned a black slave named Jacques. He was elected on 8 October 1660 as councilor of Montréal. A contract for the marriage of Jacques and Jeanne Lemoine was signed on 29 December 1661 in Montréal, Comté de Montréal, Québec, Canada, drawn up by notary Basset. Both spouses signed the contract. He enlisted in Montréal Sainte-Famille milita as a member of the 8th squadron in 1663. He was buried on 25 November 1706 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Issue: 1. Louis LeBer (1659-____) 2.
