After Mary's death, about 1683 Joseph, married (2) Rachel Sheffield, daughter of William and Mary (Webb) Sheffield. After Rachel's death, on 27 January 1696/97 Joseph, married (3) Lydia Adams, at age 43, daughter of Ensign Edward and Lydia (Rockwood) Adams, in Medfield, Massachusetts.
