  GREENFIELD, MA — Cheryl A. Travis, 74 of Greenfield, Ma. died Thursday evening (3- 24-2022) at Charlene Manor Healthcare Center, Greenfield, Ma. She was born in Greenfield on October 14, 1947 the daughter of Burton and Julia (Newton) Whitney. Cheryl was educated in Bernardston schools and was a 1965 graduate Pioneer Valley Regional School. She attended Cedarville College in Ohio, and Greenfield Community College. She was employed by wTe Recycling in accounting from 1979 until her retirement in 2011. She volunteered for the Franklin County Relay for Life, and at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. She enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling and reading. She is survived by her husband Thomas W. Travis and son David Rubeck, both of Greenfield and her grandson Nicholas B. Rubeck of Greenfield , Ma and granddaughter Shelby Orloski of Deerfield, Ma. She is also survived by her sisters, Gail Leach and her husband Peter of Parker, CO. and Cynthia Dean of Cumberland, RI. and her brother, Wayne Whitney and his wife Melody of Palisade, CO. There will be a graveside service at Center Cemetery, Bernardston, Ma. On Monday, April 25, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. Donations in her memory may be made to either Hospice and Palliative Care of Franklin County, 329 Conway St. Ste.2 Greenfield, Ma. 01301 or your local Relay for Life.
