     Yazdagerd III ~ Shah of Persia was the son of Shahrijar of Persia. Yazdagerd was crowned Shah of Persia. His assention date marks the beginning of the Jalalean era and is still used in the calendar of Parsis on 16 June 632.1 He was the last of the Sassanian dynasty, and came to the throne too young to rule. Persia was engulfed in civil war, and beset by the Arab invasion. The Persians were defeated in 637 at Kadisiya and 641 at Neharend. Yazdegerd III was forced to flee to Media.1 Yazdagerd was deposed in 641.1 He was murdered in 651 at Marv, Central Asia (now Turkmenistan).1
