     Francis Joseph Sahr was born on 4 March 1907 at Etna, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.^1,2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Albert M. Sahr and Margaret Elizabeth Merdian. Francis Joseph Sahr was christened on 17 March 1907 in the Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.³ Francis, age 3, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at Ralanning Pike, O'Hara Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Albert M. and Margaret Elizabeth Sahr.⁷ Francis, age 11, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 208 Singer Avenue, McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Albert M. and Margaret Elizabeth Sahr.⁸

Francis Joseph Sahr married Norberta M. Lackner, daughter of Fraz Lackner and Anna Mary Gerstel.
