Places: The eternal questions among genealogists is whether to use the original place name or the modern place name. Some places have many different names and connections over the years. My solution is to use the original place names for New World locations, and the modern place names for Old World Locations. I am in progress on setting this standard. There will be a few exceptions for historical clarity. The Byzantine emperors will rule from Constantinople rather than Istanbul.:

Family Lines: The family line of direct ancestors and offspring as listed on the record. Occasionally a person will be in two or more family lines.

Discrepancies: Often times there are discrepancies in dates or locations. I have tried to choose the one that I think is more valid, but at the bottom of the page, you will see a section called "Compiler's Notes" that describes the conflicts, and the reason for my choices.
