     Thomas Walter Travis was born on 9 December 1932 at Boston, Massachusetts.1,2,3 He was the son of Andrew Alphonse Travis and Mary Josephine Burke. Thomas, age 8, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at N Russell Street, Boston, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Andrew Alphonse and Mary Josephine Travis.1 Thomas, age 17 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on 87 Mt. Vernon Street, Boston, Vermont, lodging with the Homes family. He was a lab cleaner.4

Thomas Walter Travis, age 68, married Cheryl A. Whitney, age 53 , daughter of Burton F. Whitney and Julia I. Newton, on 17 February 2001 at Brattleboro, Vermont.3,5
