Conrad the Wise ~ Duke of Lorraine and Franconia was the son of Werner ~ Count in the Speyergau and the Wormsgau and daughter of Burkhard III. Conrad the Wise's full titles were the Count in the Wormsgau, the Spayergau, and the Nahegau; the Lord of Kusel, and of Hornbeck; and the Duke of Lorraine and Franconia.1
Conrad the Wise ~ Duke of Lorraine and Franconia married Luitgarde, daughter of Otto I the Great ~ Holy Roman Emperor and Eadgyth ~ Princess of England, in 947.1,2,3 Conrad was slain on 10 August 955 in the battle of Lechfeld.1,2
