Mieszko I ~ Grand Duke and King of Poland was born circa 922.1 He was the son of Ziemomysl ~ Duke of Polanie. About 960, he founded the Polish state. He was a Danish Viking, and the first Christian King of Poland.1 Mieszko was crowned the King of Poland in 962.1
