     Thierry II ~ Comte de Chaunois was the son of Thierry I the Treasurer ~ Comte de Autunois et Chaumois. Thierry's name was also spelt Theuderic ~ Comte de Chaunois.1

Thierry II ~ Comte de Chaunois married daughter of Budwine of Metz, daughter of Budwine or Bivin of Gorze ~ Count of Italy and Metz and Richilde of Arles.2 In 870, he was one of the executors of his brother, Eccard's will.1 Thierry became, in 880, the Count of Chaunois.2 He died circa 893.2,3
