     Jacques Hébert was born circa 1684 at Port-Royal, Acadia, New France.1,2 He was the son of Emmanuel Hébert and Andrée Brun. In the 1686 Census, Jacques was recorded, age 2, living in the household of Emmanuel Hébert and Andrée Brun at Port-Royal, Acadia, New France.3

Jacques Hébert married Marie-Margurite Landry, daughter of Antoine Landry and Marie Thibodeau, on 25 January 1706 at Grand-Pré, Acadia, New France.
