Bardas Skleros , anti-Emperor was the son of Munir Skleros and Gregoria. When the Emperor John I Tzimisces died, Bardas assumed the emperorship in 976, and ruled until 979. He again assumed it in 987 and in 989. He finally submitted to Basil II in 989.1
