Werner ~ Count in the Speyergau and the Wormsgau was the son of Burchard ~ Count in the Wormsgau and in the Mainfeldgau and Gisela.
Werner ~ Count in the Speyergau and the Wormsgau married daughter of Burkhard III, daughter of Burkhard III of Wettin and Grabfeldgau and Mathilda of Hesse.1,2 He was the ancestor of the Salic Kaisars.1 Werner's full titles were the Count in the Speyergau and the Wormsgau; and the Lord of Hornbach and Kusel.1 Werner was known to be living in 910.1 He died in 917.1
