     Saint Sigrade de Verdun was born circa 605 at Soissons, Neustria.1 She was the daughter of Ansaud and daughter of Leutharus. St. Sigrada was the mother of St. Leger, Bishop of Autun, and St. Guarin. She was shut up in the monastery of Notre Dame de Soissons by King Ebroin, who persecuted her family for their faith in Christ. Her goods were confiscated, and her son, Guarin, was stoned to death. Her other son, St. Leger, was thrown into prison, where he was subjected to cruel conditions.2,3 Sigrade's name was also spelt Sigrée.3

Saint Sigrade de Verdun married Bodilon de Trèves ~ Comte de Trèves.3 Saint Sigrade de Verdun was became a nun at the.1,3 She died on 4 August 678 at Soissons, Neustria.1
