Eochaid Buide , King of the Picts and Dalriada was the son of Aidan Mac Gabran , King of Dalriada. He was educated by St. Columba. While the younger son of Aidan, his older brothers had all been killed before his father's death and he therefore succeeded to the throne.1 Eochaid was crowned the King of the Picts and Dalriada in 608.1 He died in 629.1,2
