Cuthwine ~ Under-ruler of Wesse was born circa 560.1 He was the son of Ceawlin ~ King of the West Saxons and Bretwala. According to the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle: "A.D. 577. This year Cuthwine and Ceawlin fought with the Britons, and slew three kings...and took from them three cities, Gloucester, Cirencester, and Bath.2" Cuthwine ~ Under-ruler of Wesse was killed in 584 at the Battle of Barbery Hill.1,2,3
