     Chosroès II the Victorious ~ Shah of Iran was born circa 570.1 He was the son of Hermisdas IV ~ Shah of Iran and (name unknown). Khosrow is the New Persian variant of his name used by scholars.1 He is considered to be the last great Sasanian shah of Iran.1 Chosroès was crowned the Shah in 590 when his father was deposed and blinded. The leader of the revolt marched on the capital, and Chosroès II, with has family fled to the Byzantine Empire. With their help in 591, he regained his throne. in 590.1

This war so weakened both countries that later with the coming of Islam they were defeated. Chosroès II the Victorious ~ Shah of Iran was murdered on 28 February 628 at Ctesiphon, Iran. He had been imprisoned and then murdered.2,1
