Vard was born in 450.1 He was the son of Saint Hmayeak Mamikonian and Dzoyk Arçruni. He was a Mamikonian patrician in Armenia.1 Vard served between 505 and 509 as the Viceroy of Armenia.1 Vard died after 509.1
