Sahakanoyš Suren-Pahlavi was the daughter of Shak I the Great ~ Primate of Armenia. She was the heiress of the Gregorids, hereditary heads of the Church of Armenia, descended from St. Gregory 'the illuminator', a Parthian prince of the ruling family of Seistan, (i.e. Sakastan), in NW India. Her great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother were princesses of the Armenian branch of the Arsacid, (Arsakunik), dynasty of Parthia, Armenia, Iberia and Albania.1,2
