Alice Kathleen Loew

     Alice Kathleen Loew was born on 12 May 1904 at Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.^1,2 She was the daughter of John Albert Loew and CatherineA. Boyle. Alice, age 5, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at 735 Barker Avenue, Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, John Albert and CatherineA. Loew.³ Alice, age 16, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 725 Parker Avenue, Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, John Albert and Loew.⁴ Alice, age 25 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 at 7333 Schoyer Avenue, Swissvale, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.⁵ According to the Federal Census in 1930, Alice was a sales clerk in a grocery store.⁵ Her married name was Fellenbaum.

Alice Kathleen Loew married Howard Alfred Fellenbaum, son of William R. Fellenbaum and Isabella Jane Coughenour. Alice, age 35 years, and Howard, age 44 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 7335 Schoyer Avenue, Swissvale, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.⁶ Alice, age 45 years, and Howard Loew, age 54 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at Straban Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania.⁷ She died on 21 January 1958 at R.D. #5, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, at age 53 from malignant astrocytoma of the spinal cord.^1,2,8 Alice was buried on 24 January 1958 at Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania.^1,2
