Yazdegerd I ~ Shah of Iran was the son of Sapor III ~ Shah of Iran.
Yazdegerd I ~ Shah of Iran married Sashandukht, daughter of Rash Galutha ~ Exilarch of the Jews of the Empire.1 Yazdegerd was crowned the Shah of Iran in 399.1 Yaszdegerd stopped the persecution of the Christians and tried to maintain peace with the Roman Empire.1 He was murdered in 421.1
