Sapor II ~ Shah of Iran was the son of Hormisdas II ~ Shah of Iran and daughter of the King of Kabul. Sapor was crowned the Shah of Iran in 309.1 From 337 to 363, he was at war with Rome. He defeated Constantinus III, and in 363, attacked and defeated the Roman army lead by Julian, who was killed. He then made peace with Rome that was much in the favor of Persia. He later conquered Armenia.1 He died in 379.
