     Willebald Kistner was born on 22 August 1797 at Malsch, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.1,2 He was the son of Max Kistner. Willebald Kistner went by the nick-name of William.

Willebald Kistner, age 26, married Hellena Kitcherich, daughter of Johannes Hitscherich and Gertrude Bechler, on 23 February 1824. Willebald Kistner immigrated in 1832 to the United States.3 He, age 62 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1860 at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.4 Willebald was a carpenter in 1860.4 He, age 72 years, appeared as head of household on the census of 1870 at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.5 According to the Federal Census in 1870, Willebald was a farmer.5 Heappeared on the US Census of 1880 in the household of George W. Kistner and Sophia E. ______ at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 Willebald was a widower in 1880.2 He died in February 1886 at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at age 88.6 He was buried at Saint Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Willebald's epitaph reads:
