     Seleucus II Callinius ~ Basileus of the Seleucid Empire was born in 265 BCE.1 He was the son of Antiochus II Theos ~ Basileus of the Seleucid Empire and Laodice I. Seleucus was crowned the Basileus of the Seleucid Empire in 246 BCE. He was put on the throne by his mother.1 In 246 BCE, he made war on Ptolemy III Euergates, but was defeated. He was forced to give Asia Minor to his brother, Antiochus Hierax. Later he lost Parthia to the Arcasid dynasty.1

Seleucus II Callinius ~ Basileus of the Seleucid Empire married Laodice II, daughter of General Andromachus.1 Seleucus II Callinius ~ Basileus of the Seleucid Empire died in 226 BCE.
