Pharaoh Psamtek I was born in 685 BCE at Egypt.1 He was the son of Necho I ~ King of Sais and Memphis and Istemabat. Pharaoh Psamtek I was also known as Wahib.re' Psamtek. Pharaoh Psamtek I was also known as Psammetichus I in Greek.1 Psamtek was crowned the Pharaoh of Egypt in 656 BCE.1
Pharaoh Psamtek I married Mehetenweskhet, daughter of Harsiese ~ Grand Priest of Heliopolis.1
Pharaoh Psamtek I married Shepenapt.1 He was a vassal of Assyria initially, but later expelled them and reunited Egypt. He established the capital at Sais.1 Pharaoh Psamtek I died in 610 BCE.
