     Edna M. Brindle was born on 18 August 1882 at United, Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Phillip Kuhns Brindle and Sophia Blank. Edna, age 17, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Phillip Kuhns and Sophia Brindle.1 Her married name was Wallace. Edna M. Brindle and Oliver Michael Wallace obtained a marriage license on 20 January 1902 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.4

Edna M. Brindle, age 19, married Oliver Michael Wallace, age 24 , son of Michael Oliver Wallace and Sarah Catherine Hamilton, on 22 January 1902 at Scottdale, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

Edna, age 27 years, and Oliver Wallace, age 32 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 at North Union Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.6 Edna, age 37 years, and Oliver Wallace, age 42 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 at North Union Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.7 Edna, age 47 years, and Oliver Wallace, age 52 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 at North Union Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.8 Edna's husband, Edna, died on 25 June 1939.2,3,9 Edna's obituary of 26 June 1939, reads:

Mrs. Edna Wallace, 56, wife of Oliver Wallace died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday at the family home in Lemont Furnace. Surviving are her husband and the following children... P.B. Wallace, Phillips; Robert Wallace, Uniontown; Raymond Wallace, Lemont; J.D. Wallace, Eugene; Regis Wallace at home; Nelle, Pittsburgh; Rose Mary, Patricia, and Vida all at home. She is also survived by six grandchildren; one brother John Brindle, Connellsville and three sisters, Alice Brindle, Mrs. E.P. Goodwin and Mrs. William Snead all of Pittsburgh. The Body was removed today from the Haky funeral home, Uniontown, to the family residence where friends will be received until the funeral.
