Isaac Travis was born on 7 December 1827 at New York State. He was the son of Joseph Travis and Abigail Tompkins. Isaac enlisted 28 October 1862 in Newburgh, New York and was mustered in on 23 January 1863. On 10 February 1863 he deserted in New York City.
Isaac Travis died on 25 May 1864 at Washington, District of Columbia, at age 36.
