John Tompkins Clements

     John Tompkins Clements was born on 20 February 1808 at Yorktown, Westchester County, New York.¹ He was the son of Aaron Clements and Sarah Tompkins.¹

John Tompkins Clements, age 19, married Catharine Travis, age 19 , daughter of John Travis and Phebe Whitney, on 1 January 1828 at Yorktown, Westchester County, New York.¹ John and Catharinemoved to Cortlandt, Westchester County, New York, in 1832.¹ John and Catharinemoved to Peekskill, Westchester County, New York, spring 1837.¹ John and Catharinemoved to Liberty, Sullivan County, New York, in 1842.¹ John Tompkins Clements died on 2 March 1870 at Liberty, Sullivan County, New York, at age 62.¹ He was buried at Liberty, Sullivan County, New York.¹
