Compeller's Notes:
Some have listed Sybil as his wife. This appears to be based on a Sibyl Spencer who married an Elijah Sexton on 26 August 1784 in Somers, Connectictut. If so, this would mean they had their son Joseph four years before their marriage which is highly doubtful.
