     Edward Ward was born on 13 March 1671 at Cambridge Village (now Newton), Massachusetts.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Deacon John Ward and Hannah Jackson.

Edward Ward married Grace Lovering, daughter of William Lovering and Margaret Gutch, before 1699 at Newton, Massachusetts.2,3,4,6,7,8 He was a Constable in 1706.6 In 1709, he was the Surveyor of Highways.6 He was a member of the School Committee in 1722.6 In 1725, Edward erected several mills in Natick, in that part which had previously been Needham.2,4 He was elected a Selectman in 1725 and served through 1726.6 He gave a tankard to the Natick Church on 23 August 1730.9 He was listed as a miller in a deed dated 1738.9 Edward joined (an unknown value) at Natick, Massachusetts, on 6 February 1742/43.9 He died in January 1749 at Natick, Massachusetts, at age 77.2,4,9
