     Aimard Sire de Sauvigny was the son of Nievelong.1 He held lands in the Bourbonnais and was advanced by Charles the Simple. He later founded the Benedictine monastery at Sauvigny, now the Savigny Abbey.1

Aimard Sire de Sauvigny married Ermengarde.1 Aimard was known to be living in 915.1 He died before 953.1 He was buried at Savigny Abbey, Savigny-le-Vieux, Normandy, France.1
