     Julia A. Morrill was born on 2 January 1829 at Lewiston, Maine.1,2,3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Jedidiah Morrill Jr. and Lydia Briggs. As of 20 November 1845,her married name was Woodman.

Julia A. Morrill, age 16, married Hiram Elliot Woodman, age 22 , son of Jacob Woodman and Hannah Hatch, on 20 November 1845 at Auburn, Maine.

In 1850 Julia and Hiram lived at Danville, Maine.3 Julia, age 21, appeared on the US Census of 1850 living at Auburn, Maine,in the household of her husband's parents, Jacob and Hannah Woodman.7 Julia, age 30 years, and Hiram Woodman, age 36 years, appeared on the US Census of 1860 at Auburn, Maine.8 Julia, age 40 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Auburn, Maine, living with her son, Herman and his wife.9 Julia, age 50 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Auburn, Maine, living with her son, Herman and his wife.10 Julia, age 70 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 on 9 Bates Street, Auburn, Maine, living with her son, Herman and his wife.5 Julia, age 80 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 on River Road, Auburn, Maine, living with her son, Herman and his wife.11 She died on 29 April 1913 at Minot, Maine, at age 84 from a cerebral hemorrhage.3,4,6 Julia was buried at Davis Cemetery, East Auburn, Maine.4

Birth: Woodman (1995) gives her birth place as Auburn as does her death records. Elder (1989) indicates she was born in Lewiston, Maine. Birth places on death records are given my descendants and are open to best guesses. I am going to follow Elder (1989.)
